Turning Podcasts Into TV: The Ultimate Brass Ring

It was announced this week that Audible and Amazon MGM Studios plan to develop several series based on popular podcasting titles. Expect to see content like "Hot White Heist", "Oracle" and "Words+Music" make its way onto the TV screen.

Any positive added exposure to podcasting is certainly a good thing, and when studios spend money on content, the entire industry wins.

If you've got a podcasting theme that resonates, don't think you can't transition it to video. Build your audience and have the goal in mind of making your way to television. It may be a longshot, but if you attain that goal there's likely a big payday included.💰

Analysis: There's nothing at all wrong with basic design. This one is simple and to the point. The design elements are well thought out and they get bonus points because the logo shown here also appears prominently on the Primary Care Cures website. That kind of cohesiveness is essential to building a brand.

AUDIENCE BUILDING 101

How to Make Sure You and Your Audience Are Compatible

Resonating with your audience should be the main goal of any podcast, and it’s the way to build listeners. But how do you know if what you’re saying is being heard. There are a few easy ways to tell if your podcast content is reaching your audience, and improve your reach:

General Audience Feedback: Encourage your listeners to provide feedback through reviews, comments, social media, or direct messages. Learn from what they say about what they like or dislike about your content. This can provide a roadmap for improvement.

Listener Surveys: Create surveys to gather feedback. A resource like SurveyMonkey makes it really easy to ask your audience questions. Tip: Make the surveys short and to the point so that they don’t take long to complete.

Engagement Metrics: Analyze key metrics like downloads, listens, shares, and subscriber growth. Obviously, if those numbers are pointing up, you’re doing something right.

Social Media Interaction: Keep an eye on social media engagement. It’s a good idea to engage with your audience. Ask them questions on social and get a conversation going.

Stay On Trend: Keep an eye on trends in your content niche and address them. Podcasts that are current and on-trend are likely to draw more listeners than those that aren’t.
