If Your Podcast Is Timely, It Can Mean New Listeners

Being timely is a great way to get on the radar of new listeners. And with the large amount of days or months dedicated to specific causes/hobbies/pastimes, you should easily be able to find an occasion that fits with your podcast theme.

Does your podcast have a reason at all to talk about gems like these?

  • National Napping Day (March 11)
  • National Yo Yo Day (June 6)
  • Hobbit Day (September 22)
  • Mozzarella Stick Day (October 22)
  • Homemade Bread Day (November 17)

If these don't resonate, there are hundreds of others to choose from. Brandwatch has an extensive list, and so does the aptly named AwarenessDays.com.

Look ahead and build a podcast or two around a future event. Being timely conveys the message that your podcast is paying attention, and you may show up in some searches that expose you to new listeners.

By the way, International Podcast Day is September 30.
