In today’s email:
Are you as overwhelmed as I am with the number of social media tools coming out?
It seems like all of them are adding all the features of each other.
It's like a feature beetle-battle. (Shout out to Dr. Seuss.)
By the time I find one tool that does what I need, I'm calculating all the decisions and testing required to both figure out the financial and feature overlaps.
From Elon at X wanting to become the West's version of what they have in China with one or two social apps that do everything, to so many copy-paste AI companies me-too'ing OpenAI and LLMs, everyone it seems wants to become the one tool to rule them all.
Coming from the healthcare SaaS world, we often used the phrase best-of-breed versus all-in-one.
If you want the absolute best tool for each specific job in your workflow, you are a best-of-breed shop.
You want tools that are good at one thing and play nice with the others.
If you want the least hassle and easiest management of your tools, you are an all-in-one shop.
You are OK with certain features being sub-par or maybe missing, because you value simplicity.
Where do you stand?
Do you appreciate tools that do one thing well?
Or do you like tools that try to do everything?
Give me a quick reply to tell me your thoughts, and I may share them on our socials.

The Wavve design this week did a good job of capturing my attention in the scroll. It is on brand. It has a nice layout. My eye immediately picks up the key elements. And with a dark space at the bottom for captions, it's ready to be quickly digested. Excellent.
I'm also starting to see a trend with slides and horizontally swiped images in feeds where the first slide can be the Wavve video explaining your deck. No messing with video required.
