I recently listened to the Joe Rogan podcast interview with Elon Musk where Elon said that Mark Zuckerberg "backed out" of the potential MMA fight they were planning.
For those not following, that's not exactly how it went down. They were still negotiating terms.
It made me think of certain times when I was on a podcast, and a question prompted a story or comment that simply came out wrong.
In one example where I was describing an event from 15 years ago, I gave credit to the wrong people. I later asked the editor to cut that part out.
When you are in the moment, and the cameras are rolling, recalling exact details can get harder. There's a reason Joe has an assistant research things so he gets as much right as he can.
So what do you do when you are on a live broadcast, or sitting in as a guest, and spit out an incorrect name, statistic, or story?
That now goes down as something you said and can be fact checked at any time.
To some, it doesn't bother them. To others, it matters a lot. I know for me, integrity in what I say is huge.
And while we can't always get it right every time, what do you do when your memory gets fuzzy?
Here are a few ways to navigate it:
I'm starting to see a new trend in AI podcasts. Celebrity voices voicing the news. In this wavve design, an AI image is the visual personality/mascot, and it's something fun and novel. No doubt an AI may have written the script, making these little audiograms completely AI-driven. We'll see if they catch on more.
